Material Aid includes:
Food Assistance
Energy Bill Assistance
Material Aid is assessed on an individual basis in an appointment with the Material Aid worker. During the appointment you will be asked about what money has come in and gone out in the last two weeks, such as
Last Centrelink payment and/or wage received
General Expenses: food, travel, electricity/gas, clothes, school or childcare, chemist, medical and dental expenses.
Any current outstanding bills
You must send a copy of the following documents prior to your appointment
1. Recent Centrelink Statement
2. Last 4 weeks bank statements
Material Aid days and times:
Monday & Thursday (10am to 11.30am)
Individuals must live within the boundaries outlined in BLACK in the map below to be eligible for Material Aid, a list of eligible streets is also available by contacting our office.
