Emergency Relief
Emergency Relief includes:
- Energy Bill Assistance
- Water Bill Assistance
- Food Assistance
Emergency Relief is assessed on an individual basis in an interview with the Emergency Releif worker. Appointments can be made over the phone. We ask that individuals bring the following paperwork to their appointment:
- Copy of Lease and last rent receipt OR lease letter from DOH
- Receipts for payments made in the last 2 weeks, Including receipts for food, travel, electricity/gas, clothes, school or childcare, chemist, medical and dental expenses
- ALL current outstanding bills
- Last Centrelink statement and Pension/Benefits card AND/OR pay slip for the last 2 weeks
Emergency Relief days and times: Monday and Thursday 10am to 12pm
Individuals must live within the boundaries outlined in BLACK in the map below to be eligible for Emergency Relief, a list of eligible streets is also available by contacting our office.
